Talk:Leaves
Laurel candidates
#1
I would like to propose two leaves as our first laurels, the botanical equivalent of Featured articles. I propose the following:
The first is a self-nomination, the second is by User:A12n. What say you, wiki farmers?--Pharos (talk) 21:02, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- Looks good I really dislike all the bare URIs for Event:World AIDS Day 2019, tho--very hard to verify without other data. Koavf (talk) 22:45, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yes --ChristianSW (talk) 07:47, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, and thanks for considering Bio:George Gregory for this recognition. --A12n (talk) 14:02, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
#2
I would like to nominate this as our third laurel:
I think it will help to provide a positive model for future content of this type here.--Pharos (talk) 22:05, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes Looks great! --ChristianSW (talk) 15:30, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes it’s a great example. - PKM (talk) 19:26, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- Yes But I will say that I think the naming is a bit confusing and we should have more clear information architecture on naming. i.e. Why is this called "Visual story:The hat-making industry in Curaçao"? Koavf (talk) 19:17, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- I've passed this, especially now that there is a hub for the concept at Visual Story Spore. Congratulations to our third laurel!--Pharos (talk) 03:13, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

I would like to nominate this as our fourth laurel:
It shows off the possibilities of the Art Spore for lesser-known corners of the art world, and more generally is an excellent demonstration of Wikidata integration and the Wikisprout future.--Pharos (talk) 16:34, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes --ChristianSW (talk) 17:00, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes - PKM (talk) 07:03, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes - Zblace (talk) 19:09, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

community processes for recognizing
"... we will develop community processes for recognizing these" - what could this be? Example? Link from other processes elsewhere?
- We'll develop something more sophisticated later, but for now we're just doing it in the #Laurel candidates section above.--Pharos (talk) 23:39, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- ...so maybe for now it looks like 3 Yes and 0 NO or abstentions within 8days as a process? --Zblace (talk) 05:43, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
Badge
I think we should have a small laurel wreath badge that would go on Laurel articles - perhaps the one illustrated here but recolored to the official WikiSpore green? -- PKM (talk) 19:34, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- PS I think our wreath should be different from the laurel wreath used in other Wikiprojects such as this one File:WikiQuote Laurel wreath green.png. - PKM (talk) 19:39, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
