I've done some admin-y tasks here and I'm looking to import gadgets but I don't think I can due to me not being an interface admin (tho I can edit MediaWiki:Sidebar). Is it possible to get more rights? Interface admin or bureaucrat? Koavf (talk) 22:22, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

Template:Replyto If what you mean by gadgets are things like access to wmf-tools, Template:Replyto, etc. I agree they are sorely missed here. BTW thanks for promoting wikispore at wiki-outreach(?) - If I remember correctly this is how I found my way here. What do you actually want to do technically? Bureaucrats just make other people admins, and I don't anticipate us having a lot of new adminship requests to process in the near future. Maybe there is another user right that would be helpful to fixing some pages?--Pharos (talk) 06:18, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

Well, they also make persons interface admins, etc. and I wanted to give myself those rights per the above. Additionally, if/when this becomes multilingual, I have enough Spanish skills to be a useful translation admin. If you would prefer to be the point of contact for that, that's fine with me. I've interface-adminned you, glad to do it for anything else useful. I'd want to be a little bit careful because bureacrats can make other admins and also other bureaucrats on this MediaWiki installation, and one point of failure in the family tree could potentionaly lead to a whole genealogy of trouble.--Pharos (talk) 18:50, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
