Hi @Zblace @JoaquimCebuano Following the Wiki Works / Works Spore proposal and the discussion on meta, I would like to merge the already proposed/started Works Spore and TechR Spore into one Design Spore, based on all aspects of Open Design. And I think there is much potential to not only link to websites/projects outside of Wikimedia, but also to look for existing projects, tutorials, ... on the Wikiversity (language versions). For example, there are some pages about Arduino programming in English and Italian Wikiversities - with photos and illustrations - but without any translation into each other. Wikispore can document tutorials/projects/initiatives/media/sites inside and outside of the Wikimedia ecosystem and link between them. To encourage the use of different types of media, Wikispore could be the place to show "language agnostic" media like technical diagrams or movie files. I like this idea a lot, which I take to be be a mini-encyclopedia of open source partners and projects relevant to Wikimedia. We already have good sites with technical detail (Wikitech and mediawiki.org). Here on Wikisport we can at least describe the organizations and projects in plain language and then link to the detail. These parallel or supporting organizations are part of our Wikimedia "ecosystem" along with doing their own thing.

Along that line, @ChristianSW, I was happy to see your new page here: Org:Inventaire. Proceed!! I am not expert on this case but I can add some other tech organizations in the Org space too.

In practical terms I think we should keep one namespace for pages that share the same templates. That means "Org:" in the short run, even if this is not the name you'd pick for your pages in an ideal world. We can find a way to split them up later to match concepts better but we are still trying to show that our effort here is feasible and can generate some useful reports. -- Econterms (talk) 22:31, 25 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi @Econterms The Org: items I created are independent from the suggestion I made above. I wanted to support your work with this. --ChristianSW (talk) 00:13, 26 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
