POV incompatible with the Wikimedia movement?

Not sure if there should be "POV incompatible with the Wikimedia movement" as I think much of content on Wikipedia is from privileged POV *(just check distribution of contributors), so to claim it is something movement should stick with, sounds problematic in the long run. I feel it should not be enforced on all projects especially if they are experimental in nature and early in development like Spore is. --Zblace (talk) 14:07, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

"POV" means different things to different people, and there are of course shades of gray. "POV incompatible with the Wikimedia movement" here means not that we will be strictly adhering to "NPOV" as currently practiced by English Wikipedia or any other individual project, but that we will keep within the general epistomological boundaries of the broader movement.--Pharos (talk) 17:56, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

OK - I would rather have this formulated more precisely or make an example or two. An incubator for new sister projects?

Maybe dropping the word Incubator as that already exists as sister projects for Wikipedias, but rather use hotbed or something similar and botanical ;-) Zblace (talk) 17:33, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

We aren't really using botanical metaphors in that section, which is just as well, especially since that bunch are already designated the 'four fruits'. One alternative to "incubator" I was considering would be "social skunkworks" to emphasize our low-tech mode of experimentation.--Pharos (talk) 19:09, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Agreed that "incubator" is confusing for there being a sister project with that name. It also implies that things will "hatch" or graduate from here and be self-standing but I don't think that's something we've comprehended here: it seems like this is going toward the direction of indefinitely hosting material in this project itself. Not sure about "skunkworks" as it's an obscure term and frankly sounds gross. But I don't have an obviously better solution. :/ Koavf (talk) 20:44, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

1. about non-typical Namespace use and non-use of Mainspace for content? Y
2. about how we communicate and (dis)organize?
3. about how we (avoid) make(ing) decisions? :-)
