WikiBrunch/Berlin/20251228
After the November brunch, we decided to continue with gatherings focusing on a circle of friends and acquaintances over holiday season. We did not do new outreach or extra promotion. This format allowed for a casual atmosphere, encouraged the exchange of ideas, and further strengthened the sense of community and active engagement among all participants.

The brunch, based on vegan and vegetarian food in a potluck format, was once again very positively received. Guests actively contributed to the shared meal by bringing a variety of homemade dishes, turning the table into a meeting point of diverse flavors, recipes, and personal stories of their migrant background, memories of Berlin, and reflections on the state of global and regional democracy. Among the dishes offered were, among others, cornbread, buckwheat with onions, Swiss cheese, and a fresh salad made with chickpeas, peppers, cucumbers, and aromatic herbs. The diversity of the food further highlighted the creativity and openness of the participants, as well as values related to sustainability, plant-based eating, and sharing.
The gathering lasted 4 hours and included 13 people, from diverse walks of life (chefs and gastro workers, artist, academics, care workers, sustanability coach...). It confirmed that this kind of informal, collaborative model provides a strong foundation for future meetups, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of the trans-local expat/migrant community.
