It has been proposed that Wikimedia trainers might be certified along the lines of Creative Commons certification. Wikimedia Italia proposes to actually do that, and says it would naturally scale up to other Wikimedia institutions.

Description | Wikimedia Italia needs and wants to certify its trainers: we need to have a list of trainers we can recommend (to schools, GLAMs, other initiatives) and we need to increase the number of trainers. Furthermore certify trainers allows to acknowledge skills and trigger further training. We imagine that this need is very common in the movement and a certification system would be better if managed at an international level (please note that Creative Commons and Reading Wikipedia in the classroom are doing already similar things). |
