WikiBrunch is an experimental event programing format envisioned as hybrid queer-feminist intersectional meetup with less adressed communities in focus (expats/diasporas/migrants/...).
We are intentionally choosing brunch as it is:
- casual format (we wanted to position it between Wiki Picnics and Wiki Salons, away from Wiki Workshops and trainings)
- weekends are more free/flexible for many, especially if they include joy of food making/eating together
- establishing informal social connections between different expats and locals.
Wikivise we focus on Wikidata/Wikibase, Commons, Wikispore, Wikivoyage as these are the projects they need more love and visibility, but open for all. Wikipedia editing is always an option, but likely focusing again there on content gaps, minority experiences and innovative/non-normative methods, rather then established/normative work modes/activities.
