The CEE planning for a Hub began in 2020. Clear slides about the effort are here, from a February 2022 presentation by Philip Kopetzky: [1]

CEE got a Hub-preparatory "Research" grant to do interviews and surveys before filing the proposal for a Hub pilot project. The basic survey is short: [2]. Their report is here: [3], and [4]. (It could make sense for North America to do surveys and interviews too.)

It is likely that the CEE Hub will not have a policy arm, but rather leave this agenda off to Wikimedia Europe.

Description	We are launching the pilot of the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) hub this autumn, covering 30+ countries and communities. We already documented the strengths and weaknesses of each community, what they want to learn and what they want to share. We are now building a framework to coordinate between stakeholders (very different levels, from chapters with 10+ years of experience to communities without affiliates), organise peer-to-peer learning, support of local communities and regional initiatives.
