DescriptionThe WMF should organize a structured, continuous learning program for activists (Wikimedia Academy of Leadership Development & Organization - WALDO), allowing skill improvement in different areas, and leading to a formal certificate.

Every year, WALDO would announce a calendar of workshops. There would typically be 4-6 thematic workshops organized annually, with topics systematically planned over at least 2 years ahead (so that thaere is coverage of at least 8-12 topics). Systematic planning would allow the making up of a whole para-degree program, rather than just the ad-hoc workshops that we have now. The workshops would be organized back-to-back with the movement meetups, such as Wikimania or the chapter conference, as well as local gatherings so that we minimize the cost of participation. Local chapters could optionally volunteer to host events.
