I see no such article on Wikipedia, even though it is a very important aspect of the disease.
There are many cases of asymptomatic patients who test positive for covid, and most (all?) patients start out with no symptoms. In order to do effective contact-tracing, knowing what the incubation period is crucial.
I have not found a lot of sources for this topic. All the sources I have located on the web so far are awfully-dated (jan-feb of 2020). Surely there is new research available? Ottawahitech (talk) 17:54, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- The WHO published a Transmission of SARS-CoV-2: implications for infection prevention precautions Scientific Brief in July. I also notice a Estimation of incubation period distribution of COVID-19 using disease onset forward time based on Wuhan cases, and medRxiv has The estimations of the COVID-19 incubation period: a systematic review of the literature from August, with a long bibliography, but I wouldn't pretend to any capability to evaluate any of these.
