Board Member Election Process

| Description | In our recent election for board members, WMAT reserved 2 of the 8 seats for members outside of the community who would bring skills that are vital to our organization, but which we currently lack.
6 board members were elected by the general assembly (members), as usual. We identified the skills “finances” and “GLAM/Wikiversity” as still lacking in a balanced, diverse board. Therefore, the new board appointed additional 2 members, who did not run for election, but brought these skills. To identify these candidates, we posted a job advert, looked to affiliate groups/ communities, and interviewed the people who expressed interest. |
