Reason for attention to this figure is her almost total absence from histories, beyond mention of her name and relationship to her famous husband. One article online referred to her as a "fanm doubout dont on ne parle jamais" [proud woman of whom one never speaks], and another notes that "Josie Fanon has been left out of history books."--A12n (talk) 17:45, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Photos?

There are at least a couple of photos supposedly of Josie Fanon that are circulating on Twitter. Seeking to verify and determine if in public domain. See for example::

Also, if Djilali Khellas's story is correct, there would have been a photo(s) of her featured in major Algerian papers about the time of her death. Possibly in French-language African press elsewhere as well? --A12n (talk) 19:23, 22 December 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Years after Frantz Fanon's passing

According to one tweet, Claude Lanzmann in his Le Lièvre de Patagonie (Gallimard, 2019) states that after Fanon's death, Josie "lived in an abusive relation with a top official from FLN." No further info, not having access to this title. --A12n (talk) 03:09, 26 December 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
