Lalzawmi "Zomi" Frankcom (circa 1981-2024) was an Australian aid worker. She worked as relief lead for the World Central Kitchen.[1]

Life

She was born in Melbourne.[2] She worked for Commonwealth Bank.

She started volunteering with WCK in 2018.[1] In January 2020 she fed people after the 2019–20 Australian bushfire season.[3]. In April 2020, she was feeding people in New York City.[4]

She was interviewed by the Independent, about food relief in Gaza.[5]

On 1 April, 2024, she was killed by an Israeli drone strike.[6] UNRWA and Palestinian Red Crescent Society, both reported their humanitarian conveys being attacked.[7] Anthony Albanese demanded “full accountability” from Benjamin Netanyahu.[8][9]
