Brighton Project

Perhaps you would like to more fully develop the content at User:ChristianSW/Werkstatt? It could be a great representative for the Art Spore, which has a lot of potential for contemporary public art like this, but is underdeveloped.--Pharos (talk) 12:00, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hi Pharos! Yes, I will try my best... --ChristianSW (talk) 13:38, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Gut Ascheberg

I really like Geo:Gut Ascheberg! I think it's probably our most built-out geographical location yet. Incidentally, I should mention one of the peculiarities of my mother tongue, wikt:leaf is the singular and wikt:leaves is the plural. Pharos (talk) 15:41, 16 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Pharos Thank you for taking a closer look. ChristianSW (talk) 15:57, 16 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

WikiWork

Hello Christian, i have seen your commentary at the Wikispore for the WikiWork project, and i noticed that there isnt much going on since you made that first topic. I have been quite sympathetic to the idea behind WikiWork, and also the many past proposals that touched on the same theme. But i feel a lack of broadness and conceptual coherence in all of them. I personally think that everything proposed on the basis of 'open hardware', 'maker', 'DIY', could be organized around the concept of w:Open design in a much more meaningfull way, since this would open the horizon to many forms of open source tangible production, from industrial processes, farming technics, decoration, construction, recycling, hardware and so on and on. I also think that the project should make a greater effort at the outreach to the already existing communities of open design, and evaluate their perspectives and needs, at the same time inviting them to contribute to the specificity of Wikidesign. This would build a more convincing case for the autonomy of such project, because, at the present form, it remains quite restricted and exposed to rejections. I hope you are interested in expanding the Spore, since the original proposer dont seen to be much active here. JoaquimCebuano (talk) 10:40, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello @JoaquimCebuano thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I was hoping that topics like OpenHardware would also be dealt with more in Wikiversity. Personally, I'm also interested in the social factor of re/upcycling. Could you develop your suggestions for Wikispore, maybe in our Greenhouse? ChristianSW (talk) 11:24, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, I think that this kind of thing will require specific technical aparatuses from the plataform, such a easy 3D planning tool of editing, so a unique project would be required.
I am new to Wikispore, do you suggest I should open a new topic in this Greenhouse? In the main page? JoaquimCebuano (talk) 12:52, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Wikispore is about new kinds and forms so your ideas are definitely welcome. Unfortunately I personally can't help at this level because I'm an amateur. ChristianSW (talk) 14:40, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The creator of wikiwork didnt showed much openess to a change in the proposal of the project, and unfortunaly, given that i am also a amateur in this area, i cant see how we would insist on this. Maybe we could make a draft and see who appears. JoaquimCebuano (talk) 11:31, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Maybe we can find more Wikimedians who are interested in this topic. ChristianSW (talk) 13:46, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
